Distinctive Digger Stolen in Bournemouth

Recognise This Unique Mini Digger?

In the early hours of Sunday 23 July 2023, a distinctive Takeuchi TB216 mini digger vanished from East Avenue, Bournemouth. This compact excavator, known for its superior power and a weight of approximately 1.6 tonnes, is designed for demanding jobs in tight spaces. It boasts a maximum dig depth of nearly 2.4 metres and a powerful engine output. When last seen, it was securely chained to a fence, but was taken between 2.40am and 3.40am.

Rachael Buller, a Police Community Support Investigator with Bournemouth police, detailed their progress: “We’re scouring local CCTV footage for any signs of the theft. An image of the stolen digger has also been released, in hopes someone might spot it, especially if it’s offered for sale in questionable circumstances.”
